    What Are Dividend Kings?

Dividend kings are public companies that have paid or raised its annual dividend for at least 50 straight years. This means these stocks have raise dividends when the market is good and bad. These companies have survived and prospered during diffcult times such as recessions, inflations, and market down turns. Simply put, dividend kings are companies with strong cash flows, have competitive products, effective management, and resilient business models.

    Why Are Dividend Kings Important?

Investors that are looking for passive income or to diversify their portfolio might be interested in dividend kings. Dividend stocks are more conservative than hot technology stocks, making them a good investment for generating income or adding to a retirement portfolio. The dividend kings are companies that are strong financially, have lower volatility than growth stocks, and usually outperform the broader market over the long term.

    Well-Known Dividend Kings

While the full dividend kings list changes as companies enter or drop from the list, several blue chip dividend companies have been on the list for a long time

Are Dividend Kings Right for You?

Investors that are looking to invest for the long term, lower risk and volatility, and generating passive income may find dividend kings attractive. However, keep in mind dividend kings are not perfect. While the dividend kings is a list that consist blue chip companies with strong balance sheet doesn't mean they are the right investment for everyone. Some dividend kings have slow growth due to their maturity, and a long history of dividend payout don't gurantee future performance. Investor should evaluate the fundamentals, market conditions, and industry trends to see if dividend kings fit their portfolio.
